Legendary rock star, Gene Simmons, has once again defended NFL quarterback, Tim Tebow.

The KISS frontman has grown his business empire to include a professional sports team. Simmons, together with bandmate, Paul Stanley, formed an expansion team in the Arena Football League. The two entered professional football and set up in Los Angeles, naming the team LA Kiss. They said that the city has no football of any kind so they decided to go "where no football or band has gone before."

Simmons said that they intended to make home games in Orange County more exciting and provide the ultimate experience even to those who are watching football for the first time. He said in a report by Breitbart, "We take the point of view that your experience of watching an LA KISS football game should be without preconditions, which is, you don't have to know anything about football, you don't have to know what the rules are, even a throw and a catch and a dive and a tackle - you're going to see rock bands and extreme motorcycle guys, everything."

Simmons said that sports media put good athletes like Tim Tebow differently compared to athletes who constantly get themselves in trouble. Simmons said, "It's interesting to me that media often picks on the good guys and lets the bad guys get a pass."

LA KISS has been eyeing on TimTebow but it seemed as if the quarterback is not yet too keen to join the Arena Football League. In a report by Fox Sports, the team instead successfully signed former 2007 Heisman trophy winner, Colt Brennan, to sign. Tebow currently remains unemployed but continues to train to become one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL.

Tebow has not responded to the offer of LA KISS but Simmons continues to open the idea. He said, "When you think about it, why wouldn't we want somebody who's a family guy, who doesn't use expletives, who doesn't use drugs and booze, so he won't go the way those guys go, doesn't torture dogs, allegedly or otherwise, happens to believe in his God, Christianity - what's the problem? That would be a stellar citizen."

LA KISS apparently has a number of rules that might appeal to Tebow such as making appearances at charity events, responding positively to fans, raising donations, and helping children's hospitals. Simmons also said that drugs and alcohol are prohibited, especially on the field and that no player should flirt with their team dancers.
