With all the stress going on with her rumored boyfriend Justin Bieber and the supposed ongoing feud with BFF Demi Lovato, Hollywood observers say that Selena Gomez is on the brink of spiralling down.
In a report by Hollywood Life, an anonymous source revealed that the "Come and Get It" singer's family is very worried about her well-being and have been advising her to check back into rehab over the fourth of July weekend to emotionally detoxify.
Followers of the on-again and off-again relationship between Gomez and Bieber know that their love story is chaos personified. To cut it short, Bieber has been caught repeatedly cheating on her, with the most recent incident involving rumors that the pop star heartthrob has been secretly meeting up with ex-girlfriend Chantel Jeffries. And not only that, another Hollywood Life report says Bieber is not just going out with girls he knows, but a whole bunch of other fan girls who are more than willing to party with him without any sort of emotional attachment. He has been seen partying hard in Miami with other ladies.
"Family and friends are stressing to Selena that she should enter rehab this weekend," said the anonymous source. "She is a mess over what Justin has been doing to her, and how he has played with her emotions. She really is taking things hard with the Justin and Demi drama."
The target date for entering rehab is the fourth of July weekend, which again, according to the source, could further push Selena down if she participates in any of the parties that happen over the celebrations. We all know how fourth of July weekend bashes turn out, and Selena's loved ones are worried what could happen given her fragile state.
More than boyfriend troubles, Selena is also down with BFF problems. According to Hollywood Take, Demi has reportedly been getting tired of all the drama between the lovers and has decided to distance herself from her friend of 14 years. Just to emphasize how close Demi and Selena are for their falling out to affect the latter so much, Gomez gave Lovato special mention during her acceptance speech in February when she won the Young Humanitarian Award. It can also be recalled that Lovato stood by her side the first time she checked into a rehab facility in Arizona for two weeks early this year. In a report by MTV, Gomez at that time voluntarily submitted to rehab to deal with stress, not for alcohol or drugs, as rumored.
