Fans of both Harry Styles and Ariana Grande who are wishing that the two singing stars will get together romantically will feel a little excited about this new development in their careers. Harry has agreed to write a song exclusively for Ariana, which the latter will reportedly be using for her sophomore album set for release in August 25.
While this partnership is purely professional, so far at least, it's one great leap towards bringing the two together on the same platform. In an interview with MTV's TRL, Grande told the story of how the song "A Little Bit Of Your Heart," was created: "I was at the studio one day and he [Styles] was there, and literally, Johan [Carlsson] and Savan [Kotecha] were like 'Hey, do you want to write something for Ariana?' And he was like, 'Sure, mate.' And he just did."
The One Direction singer has been in Los Angeles preparing new songs for the next 1D album and rehearsing for the upcoming "Where We Are" tour. With this busy schedule, him having the time to write a song for Ariana IS a big deal. That spells major plus points from the millions of 1D fans worlwide.
Sugarscape did its research and looked through the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers' (ASCAP) records and saw that, indeed, Harry Styles is listed as co-author of the song, along with Johan Carlsson. Further rummaging through the files also revealed that the British singer and heartthrob is quite a prolific songwriter, having written several more songs that as of yet don't have an assigned performer. The ASCAP is a regulatory body that tracks the public performances of music to protect musical copyright and makes sure that the creators are compensated properly.
"It's a beautiful song. He's an amazing writer. It's really beautiful. He's amazingly talented," gushed the 21-year-old Grande on the same TRL episode. Metro UK writes that the August release is a follow up to her 2013 debut and will have collaborations with the likes of Big Sean, Cashmere Cart, Zedd, Childish Gambino, The Weekend and A$AP Ferg. The singer is also currently working to possibly bag her first ever U.K. number with her latest single "Problem" featuring Iggy Azalea.
Fans are hoping that more collabs will happen between Harry and Ariana in the future. Who knows, with two brilliant artists working together, someday, a true romantic link could happen.
