Fired "Today" co-host Ann Curry has been offered a book deal aimed at detailing the events leading to her dismissal at the NBC morning show.

The National Enquirer reported that Curry has been offered $8 million for the book deal and to give details on her fellow reporters.

If giving into the offer, expectations are for Curry to detail the alleged tension between co-host Matt Lauer and herself.

Lauer is has rumored to be a heavy force to her firing. He was going through contract negotiations and reports state one of the new deals was to replace Curry. According to a source telling Us Weekly, "Matt Lauer is 100 percent behind Ann leaving" and that the pair were not on speaking terms in the week leading to her final day.

Another expectation for Curry is to write about seeing Savannah Guthrie succeed her at the anchors desk.

According to the National Enquirer's source, "The NBC brass pulled the rug out from under Ann and made her the fall guy for the show's bad ratings. Now publishers are desperate for her to spill everything."

The source went on to say Curry knew about Lauer's infidelity that was rumored to have happened during the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics and during the 2006 Torino Winter Olympics.

"[Curry has] 'heard and seen it all', the source told the National Enquirer.

The source added that she'll likely not "trash" weatherman Al Roker, who's considered "as loyal as the day is long to Ann."

Curry's last appearance as official co-host for "Today" was June 28. Her departure was further blame by the NBC morning show losing its ratings to rival ABC "Good Morning America."

Despite the replacement, "Today" is still losing the ratings race to ABC.

Former "Today" co-host Katie Couric was quoted that she felt "terrible" with what happened to Curry and didn't understand why NBC didn't give her the "proper send-off."

"It was just not the best chapter in the 'Today' show. It made me sad for the institution," Couric added.

No word yet if Curry is on board with the book deal.
