A lot of NFL teams seemed to be after Jermichael Finley. However, experts and fans speculate that there's just so much the tight end can truly bring to the table.

According to Bleacher Report, the 6'5" 247-pound TD can be an asset to any team's offensive line. However, his spinal fusion surgery in November 2013 discouraged potential teams from offering him a contract. Although the Pittsburgh Steelers' doctor already cleared him to play again, many are still doubtful whether he is already in the best shape. He used to move very swiftly and conveniently gains separation from opponents to make great catches. However, he might not be the man he used to be shortly after he was drafted in the third round by the Green Bay Packers in 2008.

It was also confirmed that the Seattle Seahawks will no longer be chasing the TD. One of the reasons why teams doubt his full recovery is that the Steelers' doctor, Dr. Maroon, also happened to be Finley's personal physician. Teams need more proof that they will be getting a healthy and powerful Finley that will match their bid. In a Yahoo! Sports report, Finley said that he can collect as much as $10 million in insurance money if he opts to retire from the NFL.

A number of teams expressed their interest in Finley to strengthen their offensive line such, including the New England Patriots, Oakland Raiders and Pittsburgh Steelers. The Patriots have already accommodated Finley and discussed career possibilities. The Raiders have been eyeing on veterans to improve their line and give guidance to the younger players, and Finley seemed to be among the right ones to add, writes NFL.com report. The Steelers' had him go through a thorough assessment at their facility where he was given the clearance. The Green Bay Packers are still hoping that they can keep him, provided that his neck operation is successful and he is fully healed.

Jermichael Finley is a gem when it comes to catching. Any team who needs an efficient wide receiver can rely on him since he makes difficult catches look easy. The "joker" is not too good with blocking and drops though. His size gives him an advantage in receiving so cornerbacks will have to look for more support or match his size to handle him. Finley also has the speed which makes it even more difficult for cornerbacks to contain him. A team looking for a tight end/wide receiver should will benefit much from Finley
