What could satisfy your yen for fairy tales more than a TV series featuring characters from different fairy tale stories thrown in scenarios very different from the ones they are originally associated with? You get to see some of your fondest fantasies play out on the small screen with the unusual pairings and plots. Like a possible relationship between bounty hunter Emma, Snow White's daughter, and Captain Hook, who is famously known as Peter Pan's nemesis.
So, will the pair share more than just a kiss in season 4 of "Once Upon a Time"?
Jennifer Morrison, who plays Emma in the series, talked about the blossoming romance between her character and that of co-star Colin O'Donoghue in an interview with TV Line.
"If you had said it to me when we first started the show, I never would have anticipated it - but the reality is that he's a very kindred spirit," Morrison began. "They've both been through similar things, they're both survivors and they've both had to fight in order to literally just live."
"There's also something in them where they'll both go to great lengths to protect the people they care about - and sometimes they'll do really bad things to do that, but they both have really good hearts, so I think they see a lot of themselves in each other."
Sounds promising, indeed. But will they or will they not grow closer?
"This season in particular, because Hook has really fought for Emma to be true to herself and be the most powerful version of herself, he's earned a tremendous amount of trust from her, and that's what really makes it organic for Emma to feel vulnerable with him," she continued.
"I know that in my own life, I have a strong reaction to people who empower me and say, 'You should be yourself, even if it means making some mistakes.' So the fact that he does that, and isn't at all put off by that, makes it a good place to start a relationship," she concluded.
