"Criminal Minds" finally completed its 9th season and fans are now wondering what season 10 has to offer. The finale was aired last week and had viewers heaving a big sigh of relief at the fact that Reid would survive - and understandably make it to the next season. However, this has not left fans off the worry hook.
To help ease this entertainment anxiety, we bring you news straight from the horse's mouth herself - from no less than Erica Messner, the show's producer.
To start, will Jane Lynch be coming back? The actress is also part of the cast of yet another hit show, albeit of an entirely different theme and setting. Will she be doing both shows or will she be leaving "Glee" Season 6 for "Criminal Minds"?
"I really want to get Jane back again," Messner told TV Guide. "This will be interesting to see how we pull that off and if it's right away. Because Glee's in its final season, maybe it's something we can't get to until later in the year."
Sounds like Lynch is indeed still going to be in both shows, although her return to "Glee" is reportedly not "official" yet, according to Hollywood Life.
"I don't know! I haven't read [the script] because they don't give me the script if I'm not in it," she told the publication. "They had me come to upfronts so I hope I'm coming back! If they bring you to upfronts, it's usually a good thing."
Meanwhile, Messner said that they have not planned much for the next season just yet. "There's a version where we pick up the next day. There's a version where we pick up and summertime's gone by just like in real life, so I don't know yet," she observed. "We're just unplugging from the show in the next few weeks and the beauty of that is when the writers get back together, we can say, 'I thought of this. What do you think?' We had such an amazing year."
"All of the writers are back for Season 10 and it felt like everybody needed to walk away for a bit. These last two episodes took a lot out of everyone. It's a lot of work, but the payoff is great," she continued. "I think Season 10 is going to hold a lot of fun stuff for us to do."
