The narconovela "El Señor de los Cielos" returns on Monday, May 26 on Telemundo, starring Rafael Amaya who plays Aurelio Casillas.
With an initial recap, the series which shows the stories of Mexico's top drug traffickers reaches televisions in the United States once more starting at 8 p.m., offering a recap of the most important parts of the first season, and then gives way to the grand premiere of the second season of Aurelio Casillas' life, who in this season must face his enemy "El Chema Vargas", but his main objective will be recovering his family.
In the company of Ximena Herrera, Marlene Favela, Carmen Villalobos, Fernanda Castillo, Ruy Senderos, Raúl Méndez and Mauricio Ochman, the story references the life of Mexican drug trafficker Amado Carrillo and begins its second season in the stellar 10 p.m. time slot on Telemundo.

The second season of "El Señor de los Cielos" begins when everyone believed that Aurelio Casillas had died during a cosmetic surgery to change his face. However, his death was faked to free himself from harassment and persecution from the authorities.
Aurelio will seek to recover his family and take revenge on those who betrayed him.
The telenovela, filmed in Mexico, will feature 75 episodes in its second season, financed by American investors who seek to promote the discussion of drug trafficking and raising awareness among the population of the real risks of living this lifestyle.
Narconovelas have had great acceptance among the Hispanic audience. Telemundo has developed this new telenovela genre with projects such as "El Capo", "La Reina del Sur", "Pablo Escobar" and recently "Camelia la Texana".
"El Señor de los Cielos" is a television show that references the life of drug trafficker Amado Carrillo Fuentes, leader of the Mexican Juárez cartel who was nicknamed as such. Carrillo Fuentes was one of the most wanted drug traffickers in Mexico and the United States for being one of the main leaders of organized crime in the border area between the two countries.
"El Señor de los Cielos" died in a hospital in Mexico City on Feb. 5, 1997 after undergoing plastic surgery to change his face.
