An extraordinary video which captures the moment in which a mother bear helps its cub cross dangerous traffic in a highway in British Columbia, Canada, has become an online phenomenon, owing to the moving images and how users simply can't keep themselves from comparing the maternal instinct in animals to that of humans.
Known storm hunter Ricky Forbes managed to film the charming video with his cellphone, and the video went viral in just a few days, causing a stir on the Internet.
A small bear cub was separated from its mother when it jumped the division that isolates the Kootenay National Park from the highway and dangerous traffic. The cub is seen very scared due to the cars driving next to the road and is not able to cross the fence to where its mother and another cub are.
Finally, mother bear goes to the rescue and grabs the cub and takes it to the other side, safe and sound.
Forbes, known for being an enthusiast storm hunter and who by chance was driving on that highway, said that "It's was a very impressive thing to see," reported The Telegraph.
The Trans-Canadá highway is a dangerous crossing for bears due to traffic and vehicles advancing at great speeds. According to the Daily Mail, a few days before the video was filmed, a black bear was hit by a car close to Yoho National Park, and so the rescue of the small cub is good to see.
Weeks before, another extraordinary rescue was recorded on film by a tourist in Kenya, when a pack of Elephants crossing the Nyiro River joined forces to rescue a baby elephant which was separated from the group by the river's strong currents.
