Hours after a footage of what appeared to be an intense, physical altercation between Solange Knowles and Jay-Z in an elevator was made public by TMZ, social media was quick to respond to what probably had started Beyonce's sister to lash out on her husband, The Hollywood Reporter said.
The video was reportedly a security camera footage from a Standard Hotel elevator, which was taken after the group left a Met Gala afterparty in New York, the celebrity gossip news said. Apparently, involved parties have yet to comment about the supposed incident, but Beyonce and Jay-Z had been spotted out in public at an NBA basketball game at Barclays Center looking happy together like nothing has happened, Buzzfeed said.
Twitter users had fun speculating what could probably happened between Beyonce's two most dear loved ones. #WhatJayZSaidToSolange became one of the top trending topics in New York on Twitter as of Monday afternoon. Majority of the theories was about Solange's music career, which could easily be eclipsed with the accomplishment her elder sister has made. There were also criticism on Solange's appearance, if one uses the number of public appearances Beyonce has scored over her younger sister.
Buzzfeed noted that several Twitter followers like @Chf_BoyarB tapped popular video game and anime female characters like StreetFighter's Chun-Li to represent how Solange had charged Jay-Z with punches and kicks. Others like @DamelsDope used stills from the movie "The Matrix" to explain how the altercation went down between the two. Thanks to the wonders of Photoshop, others used their inner graphic designer and edited Solange and Jay-Z's face into a popular photo of one girl running after another girl with what appeared to be a shovel, and referenced the rapper's album "99 Problems" in the caption.

Multiple news outlets have requested Solange and the power couple's camps for comment, but have yet to receive a response on what had sparked the altercation. Meanwhile, Standard Hotel expressed their disappointment with the security breach due to the leaked video footage. A representative of the hotel released a statement to Buzzfeed, which read, "We are shocked and disappointed that there was a clear breach of our security system and the confidentiality that we count on providing our guests. We are investigating with the utmost urgency the circumstances surrounding the situation and, as is our customary practice, will discipline and prosecute the individuals involved to our fullest capacity."
