So, it's NOT true that Selena Gomez traded BFF Taylor Swift for on-and-off love Justin Bieber. At least according to this recent video showing the young stars enjoying each others' company.
Although rumors of a "feud" between the two young stars appeared to heat up, the reality is that Sel and Tay remain besties.
"Taylor, 24, and Selena, 21, both attended the 2014 Met Gala in New York on Monday night, and made the most of their public appearance to set the record straight," The Daily Mail noted. "In true Hollywood style, Selena took to social media on the night, posting a candid 15-second video of the pair goofing around together at the exquisite fashion event."
Previously, it was reported that Taylor gave Selena an ultimatum -- her or Biebs. Apparently, Sel appeared to pick the "Baby" singer over her friend, allegedly causing some animosity and tension between the two. There also were insider whisperings of Selena tiring of Taylor's company, which got fans wondering if the ladies will never ever get back together again -- as BFFs, that is.
And now, that video.
To hammer home her point, Selena captioned the Instagram video of her and Tay with the following: "Sometimes you wanna just be you with someone who knows all your secrets."
"The brief video showed the two singers pulling faces for the camera before gliding across the room, dancing around in their elegant gowns," The Daily Mail observed. "The Dean Martin background song also suggests that the sassy stars have put their differences aside with the lyrics: 'let us leave the confusion and all this illusion behind.'"
Quite telling, isn't it? At least all's well that ends well, which is the case for these two stars.
Will this mean Selena's not compromising herself with JB again? Or that Tay will respect Selena's romantic choices?
