A new proposal developed by the FWD.us organization has managed to get celebrities to act in favor of immigration Reform in the United States.
Through an ingenious application available for the iOS and Android operative systems, users can send a virtual card in the form of a "selfie" to members of Congress in Washington to generate pressure and get legislators to start the immediate discussion of the awaited immigration reform.
According to the website In The Capital, the FWD.us initiative, an organization led by Joe Green and which has the support of Facebook's CEO, has managed to get artists like Academy Award winner Jared Leto and other artists like Adrian Grenier, Chris Tucker and supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio, among others, to join this cause in favor of the debate of a new immigration model in the U.S.
With the clear message that "now is the moment to vote the reform," the app "Selfies4Reform", which can be downloaded here, attempts to be a "casual" way in which thousands of people, among them film and public life celebrities can provide their support and mobilize more people to demand that the House of Representatives approve the law project approved by the Senate in June of last year.
Besides each virtual card users send to Representatives of the House, FWD.us has also commited to printing them and send them directly to the offices of Congressmen in Washington, according to El Nuevo Herald in its website.

According to the same source, last week President Obama said that the responsibility of achieving immigration reform falls in the hands of republican leadership in the House of Representatives, where the immigration law project proposed by democrats and approved by the Senate is still on hold.
