Omarosa Manigault, former "Apprentice" alum, was perhaps the celebrity most affected by actor Michael Clarke Duncan's death on Monday. Manigault and Duncan, who were secretly engaged, were set to marry in January, reported entertainment gossip site TMZ.
Duncan, 54, suffered from a heart attack on July 13 and never recovered, reported PEOPLE Magazine. The "Green Mile" actor died Monday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and was suffering from major brain damage a source told the magazine.
According to the source, Manigault never left Duncan's side, keeping vigil at the actor's bedside for 50 days. "She was literally there every second," the source said. "She is a strong woman who is full of faith, but right now she is heartbroken."
The Los Angeles Times reported that the "Apprentice" star spoke to Radar Online about her fiance's death and said, "I am devastated. He was the love of my life."
Following the death of Duncan, celebrities took to Twitter to express their sorrow and condolences. According to the Los Angeles Times, hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons tweeted, "Prayers for Michael Clarke Duncan and Omarosa, this is deeply saddening."
Donald Trump, the host of "The Apprentice" also tweeted on Tuesday, "Sorry to hear of the passing of @OfficialMCD. He was a talented actor and a wonderful fiancé to my friend @Omarosa. Will be missed."
The Los Angeles Times reported that no investigation into Duncan's death was planed by the Los Angeles coroner's office.
