Has Naya Rivera been fired from hit musical dramedy "Glee"?
Previously, it was reported that Naya and co-star Lea Michele were "feuding" on the set and that their tiff has already escalated. And now, sources have said that the 27-year-old actress has been "written out" of the fifth season finale due to her feud with Lea, The Daily Mail said.
"Producer Brad Falchuk originally intended the 27-year-old starlet to appear in the May 13 episode titled 'The Rachel Berry Project,'" the British entertainment news source reported. However, various media outlets have said that Naya's Santana Lopez was written out. It's also not certain whether she will be back for the sixth season.
According to E! News, a source said the half-Puerto Rican beauty "isn't fired" and that Lea had nothing to do with her not being in the finale.
Naya's own rep also clarified the matter by issuing the following statement: "Any reports or rumors circulating that Naya Rivera was let go or fired from Glee are absolutely untrue. End of story."
Fox has yet to comment on the issue.
"Rumors that the actress cleaned out her trailer and won't return to the series are being misrepresented as Rivera is already on hiatus from the show. Sources also say that the actress has not received any letters from the network or studio to change her behavior," The Hollywood Reporter said.
Until the studio or the producers of the show finally speak up and clear the air about this rumor, fans and observers will continue to speculate on her alleged firing.
If indeed Naya isn't involved in Glee anymore, she won't be sitting and tapping her foot, waiting for the next project to come her way. She's been tapped to be the voice of Vera in the animated movie "Home," a DreamWorks 3D flick, which will be released November 26 this year. She is also set to release an album this year.
