The 2014 Life Ball, one of the largest annual galas in Europe, which has the purpose of raising funds for the fight against AIDS, revealed that Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin would be the main star of the prestigious gala.
According to the Austrian Independent, the popular 43-year-old Latino will perform on May 31st in Vienna, during the annual Life Ball gala, an event which will also feature a fashion runway with designs from Givenchy, Jean Paul Gaultier, Vivienne Westwood, Etro and Dsquared2, among others.
Life Ball 2014 will be a special opportunity for the Puerto Rican, since is the first time Ricky Martin will perform on Austrian soil.
"I feel honored that the Life Ball invited me to Vienna for such an important cause," said the singer a press release quoted by Look to the stars.
Former President Clinton will be present at the Life Ball 2014
Besides the presence of Ricky Martin, the Life Ball gala will also feature former U.S. President Bill Clinton, founder of the Clinton Health Access Initiative, a project fighting against AIDS in the U.S., who will give a speech on how to start working towards a generation free from AIDS.
According to People en Español, the annual Life Ball gala is celebrated in city hall since 1993 and gathers thousands of people from around the world.
In 2013, Life Ball managed to raise $3.3 million dollars destined to different research and treatment projects for AIDS, a disease which continues to affect millions of people.
