The internet has been stirred into a frenzy after Fox 2000 confirmed that a "Mrs. Doubtfire" sequel is in the works. While '90s kids everywhere are rejoicing at seeing a follow-up to the much-loved film of their generation, it seems that there is someone who wants nothing to do with the film.

Mara Wilson who starred in 1993 classic, has taken to Twitter to say that she will not be appearing in the sequel movie being allegedly developed. Wilson, who played Natalie Hillard in the original film, said in a series of tweets:

"For the record, no, I do not have anything to do with the Mrs. Doubtfire sequel, nor will I. I've been in some mediocre movies, but I've never been in a sequel. And I have no interest in being in one now. Sequels generally suck unless they were planned as part of a trilogy or series. I think Doubtfire ended where it needed to end."

"I'm glad I had the chance to be in it, and I'm proud of what we did, but I don't see how we could do it again. There are many, many reasons I don't want to be in Mrs. Doubtfire 2. But they haven't even asked me (yet), so no need to worry," continued the former child star.

Since telling the world of her thoughts, Mara has been the target of an irate public who have attacked Wilson, calling her ungrateful as well as a bad actress.

But don't worry fans, aside from Robin Williams, Matthew Lawrence has told TMZ, "Of course I would be on board. I hope they make the second as good as the first. The first was so good." He also tells the outlet he doesn't know why Mara is so adamant to stay away from the sequel.

Fast forward 20 years since the film first debuted to be an international hit, actor Robin Williams, 62, and director Chris Columbus will be tackling "Mrs. Doubtfire" again, says The Hollywood Reporter. The film will allegedly center on Williams who played a less than successful actor who took on a role of a lifetime. As a recently divorced father, he cross-dressed and pretended to be an old nanny in order to be closer to his kids.
