Fresh off a surprise cameo on "Saturday Night Live" last April 12 during Seth Rogan's hosting gig, Taylor Swift just gave her biggest fan, Gena Gabrielle, the surprise of a lifetime by appearing at her bridal shower on Sunday.
The LA Times writes that Gena has met Taylor multiple times in meet-and-greets and at one point invited the "Speak Now" singer to her bridal shower and wedding. Since the blond crooner wasn't available to attend the wedding, Taylor made sure to be available for the unsuspecting bride's pre-wedding party, which took place in Columbus, Ohio.
E! Online writes that Swift, in true fashion-icon form, dressed in a sea-foam green dress and donned her signature bright red lipstick. The ecstatic bride quoted Taylor as saying, "This is my first bridal shower, and Gena's last."
"I had no idea it was going to happen," Gena exclaimed on the "Today" show. "[Taylor] said she planned it with her management and her mom. She said it was all worth it because my face was priceless."
Of course Taylor didn't show up to a bridal shower without a gift. So what did the country-pop singer give Gena? The answer is kitchenware - and a whole lot of it. Taylor generously gave Gena and her groom several baking equipment, cookbooks, pans and cooking utensils along with a KitchenAid mixer and a Le Creuset pot.
But that's not all! Taylor couldn't leave without giving Gena something personal and handed her "superfan" a hand-painted piece of art which features watercolor hearts and lyrics from her hit song "It's A Love Song," writes Philly.
An extremely appreciative and touched Gena told the "Today" show, "I will never forget she did this for me. She is truly an incredible, special person."
The fan also took to Twitter, saying, "@taylorswift13 thank you so much for everything . You went above & bring my wildest dreams. I can't thank you enough"
