Should parents "Let It Go" or should they really shell out a thousand bucks just to keep their Elsa-loving daughters happy?
The hit child-friendly flick, which has already become "Disney's highest-grossing animated film of all time" with its $1 billion box office sales, has stirred up major LSS spells of its most popular song off its soundtrack and a global adulation of the lead characters of the said movie.
Naturally, replicas of Queen Elsa's costume has also become collector's items and sold like hotcakes. In fact, you can barely find any more stock in U.S. stores now, CNN reported.
"But on eBay, desperate parents can shell out over $1,000 to grab a limited-edition version of the dress that cost $149.95 when it first hit Disney stores in mid-November," the news site revealed. "A cheaper version made by toy maker Jakks Pacific, which originally retailed for $20, is also selling on eBay for between $150 and $350."
Looks like there's been a freeze in Queen Elsa costume supplies. Well, not just her sparkling blue dress - character dolls of the sister princesses were also sold out just 45 minutes after they were launched online in January.
"On eBay, bids for the limited edition dolls range from a few hundred dollars to over $3,000," CNN added.
Meanwhile, parents in the UK have also encountered the same problem and have complained that Disney Stores sent "'mixed messages' about delivery times and not putting stock online quickly enough," The Telegraph reported.
"I understand people earning a quick buck out of other people as we all like a deal... But exploiting young girls who have set their hearts on a 'Frozen Elsa dress' and to find out that they are triple the price on eBay as people have been buying bulk from Disney to sell on... so not cool. Sort it out Disney," said one father named Dom Ward.
The clamor for more Elsa dresses produced a site that "specifically helps locate dresses and other merchandise for parents."
