21-year-old superstar celebrity Selena Gomez has reportedly fired her parents as her managers.
TMZ broke the news that the "Love You Like A Love Song" singer has conflicting views on how to manage Selena's career which led to Selena firing her mother Mandy Teefy and step-father Brian last month. Selena has been managed by her mother since her days on "Barney" and Disney, including her career-catapulting gig on "Wizards of Waverly Place."
Good news is that while all this business drama is going on, the site reported: "Selena remains close with both of her parents, although they're not happy about the decision." The website claims that there have been arguments between Selena and her parental both on Selena's career as well as her recent reunion with bad-boy beau, Justin Bieber.
"It's definitely against her parents wishes. But they don't have any control over her. She's pulling the, 'Who makes the money around here?' card! It's a sh** show behind-the-scenes," says a Radar Online source.
Insiders have told reporters that the Latina feels she's "outgrown" her parents' influence and at her present state and age, she's mature enough to deal with a professional manager.
According to TMZ, the actress-singer is in the market for a "seasoned professional manager with other A-list clients." E! News writes that one of the professionals Selena is considering is Bradford Cobb, who represents a number of a-list celebrities including Katy Perry.
Selena was recently spotted spending time with Justin Bieber and his protege Madison Beer at a Miami recording studio. Photos surfaced online when Madison's mom, Tracie Beer, posted photos that showed Justin and Selena, although separately photographed, were in the same place. Gomez made headlines in the beginning of the year for voluntarily entering rehab and has quickly gotten back on the Bieber train not long after leaving the facility.
