With 550 ft. of height and 28 gondolas, the High Roller, the tallest Ferris wheel ever created, was officially inaugurated on Monday in Las Vegas, for the enjoyment of the thousands of visitors to the city of neon lights and casinos.
And nothing less can be expected; the impressive view offered by the Ferris wheels is well worth the long lines of people who await their turn to get on, wait times that on Monday were as long as six hours, according to the CBS.
The ride, starting with the first gondola, takes just over 30 minutes to complete what many call an "incredible experience."
Representatives of Caesars Entertainment Corp. revealed that the new Ferris wheel in Las Vegas is taller than Singapore's Flyer, the wheel which until Monday was considered to be the tallest in the world with a height of 541 ft. and the London Eye, with 443 ft.
Besides its height, the High Rollers is equipped with 2,000 LEDs which turn on when the Sun sets, giving it the appearance of a beautiful circle of light surrounded by mountains.
According to NBC affiliate 3 WKYC, the inauguration of the huge wheel was preceded by huge expectations owing that only employees of the Caesar's and some chosen media were able to ride the attraction since last Thursday, an attraction which has drastically changed the Las Vegas skyline.
The huge wheel has 28 gondolas equipped with air conditioning which can carry up to 40 people each.
Tickets cost $24.95 during the day and $34.95 at night.
