Beyoncé's love for animal skin knows no bounds.
She may have gone vegan back in December, but that was a limited engagement. It also appeared that the veganism was only limited to food, as she was photographed "walking into one LA vegan restaurant wearing the biggest fur collar seen this side of the 1980s and then, soon after, entering another one, wearing - and there really is no other way to put this - an entire cow, from a cowhide top to leather trousers," The Guardian noted.
Now, Bey's special preference for animal-based clothing has come to the fore once more with news of the creation of one-legged jumpsuit made out of cobra skin. The outfit must have been entirely made of cobra hide as it was blocked by European customs upon its arrival from New York.
"European customs and paperwork heart-stoppingly blocked Beyoncé's priceless one-of-a-kind handmade outfit. Why, who knows?" reported New York Post's Page Six columnist Cindy Adams. "Beyoncé's newest world tour almost went without her to-die-for opening-night outfit."
"Almost" - take note of the word. This means Queen Bey was able to hurdle the complications at the customs in the nick of time. This is one more proof of Bey's impressive boss card/credentials.
However, the 32-year-old diva seemed to have broken in a sweat over the hitch as it was also reported that she and her army of stylists "nearly had to find a replacement outfit for the Portugal leg of her tour," according to the Daily Mail.
"The singer's stylists managed to get the paperwork in order and file it with customs in the nick of time - and the outfit arrived," the entertainment news source continued.
She will be wearing the custom-made, one-of-a-kind jumpsuit on Wednesday during the opening night of one of her concerts in Lisbon. NY-based designer Rubin Singer, who specializes in "special rare skins" sourced from Europe and Asia, made the outfit for Bey. He was also responsible for Beyoncé's cobra skin outfit worn during her Super Bowl XLVII performance.
