Nearly a month after the release of its controversial tagline, the film adaptation of "The Fault in Our Stars," the book from best-selling author and Youtube vlogger John Green, has found its way in the midst of another movie scandal.
The 36-year-old author hyped up fans when he tweeted, "The #tfios movie trailer will PREMIERE TOMORROW," followed by an announcement that "The #tfios trailer is scheduled to debut at 8:30 tomorrow morning on The Today Show." As a treat to his fans, however, he posted on Instagram a teaser trailer, telling his fans, Here it is! A #tfios teaser for your Tuesday enjoyment:"
But it seems like someone beat him to the chase when an unofficial release of a version of the film's official trailer found its way to the web over the weekend. The leak, which is 2 minutes, 28-seconds long, showed a lot of pivotal scenes from Hazel Grace's (Shailene Woodley) and Agustus "Gus" Water's (Ansel Elgort) romance while fighting cancer.

According to International Business Times, John Green is yet to comment on the leak of the film, but he tweeted on Monday, "Wow: For the first time since it came out in January 2012, The Fault in Our Stars is the 31 bestseller on Amazon."
Filmmakers may not have been happy over the early release of the trailer, but fans are clearly more than just a little excited.
IBTimes reports Twitter user, @exhilarateharry posted, "OH MY GOD I JUST WATCHED THE TFIOS TRAILER AND I AM 10000% NOT OK." Another user, @morgan_blott,, posted, Omg TFIOS trailer was so good. The movies gonna be amazing [sic]."
"The Fault in Our Stars" made headlines last month when the poster tagline, "One Sick Love Story" was noted as controversial, considering the heavy focus of the story on cancer.
The film is scheduled to premiere in U.S. Theaters on June 6.
