Celebrities have slammed Miley Cyrus for her indecent twerking since the VMAs, and the negative comments and reactions has not stopped still.
British singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran called out the twerking star, saying that twerking is a stripper move.
Sheeran told E! News, "Twerking is what strippers do. It's a fact. If you go to a strip club, not that I go to strip clubs, but if you go to a strip club, they twerk."
As for his opinion of Miley and her dance moves, he said, "You shouldn't be encouraging little kids to twerk. Stop doing this, Miley Cyrus, please. Stop. Stop. Sing 'Wrecking Ball.' 'Wrecking Ball' is a great song."
These jabs came in the heels of a wardrobe malfunction that his friend, Taylor Swift, endured during the Grammys. Concerning Swift's dress, he said: "It broke. There was this country song and she was dancing like Rick Ross and it snapped. It wasn't really a wardrobe malfunction. It's what's meant to happen to a dress like that. You're not meant to stay in that sort of dress."
As for Miley, she may not take the ginger's words to heart, as International Business Times noted, "Everyone knows that the former Disney star listens to no one, even her mother, when it comes to the choices she makes."
Considering the fuss she made over the media for the twerking, Sheeran may not expect to see it stop soon, as Cyrus is set to perform in an upcoming MTV Unplugged special, alongside Madonna.
In the MTV Press Release, it is stated that "The performance will showcase a more intimate side of Cyrus and feature surprise guests for an unexpected re-invention of the songs that have defined her career, including several from her #1 critically acclaimed album, Bangerz."
