According to statements from neighbors to the Daily News, Deisy García lived in the apartment with her husband, her two daughters and another couple, whose information has not been released.
"She was a calm, but happy person. She always had a smile on her face. She was a good mother," said Mario Sánchez.
For his part, Sarei Hernández, a friend of the family, told CBS that Deisy "Was a great mother. She loved her children. I could say she loved her children very much. She was a very happy mother. She was proud of her daughters. She never left them alone."
