The London Olympics closing ceremonies was a big day for Spice Girls fans. But if they're looking forward for some more reunions, their dreams have been crushed even before they could begin to hope, because one Spice is not open for another future performance with the group.
Victoria Beckham, a.k.a. Posh Spice, said in an interview with the Vanity Fair that "I won't ever do it again. Doing the Olympics was an incredible honor. I was so proud to do it, proud to be British. That was a perfect time to say, 'That's great. Thank you to everybody, but no more.' Sometimes you've got to know when it's time to leave the party."
Although she doesn't seem to be angry with her ex-bandmates and often speaks fondly of the group,Us Magazine indicated that they have disbanded and she's moved on to being a wife and mother. She married athlete David Beckham in 1999, and now has four children with him - Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper, who are 14, 11, 8, and 2, respectively.
She told Vanity Fair, "The Spice Girls were successful because we celebrated women. That's why I do what I do today,"
The fashionista also said that while she got her fame through singing, her main passion nowadays is fashion. The fashion line that she started in 2008 is now worn around the world by the biggest names in Hollywood, including Julia Roberts and Cameron Diaz.
Her hard work has ultimately paid off, as she was presented with a BAMBI award last year in Berlin. The achievement that the former Spice received from fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld made her emotional. "His words when he have me the award meant so much... The fact that he had anything to say about me, I'm constantly pinching myself!"
Victoria's cover story on the fashion magazine hits newsstands on January 21 in Spain, and on January 22 in Italy.
