When American Idol alum Kelly Clarkson got married to Brandon Blackstock in October, the singer started living her happy ever after. She told Parade Magazine, "My big thing when Brandon and I started dating was, I wanna be with someone who'll push me to be a better person. I don't like settling. I think we can constantly grow and learn."
And grow and learn she will, because soon after, the couple announced another big step: Kelly is pregnant, and it's a baby girl.
The 31-year-old singer took the announcement to Twitter, saying, "We just found out we're having a girl officially! I knew it! Only a girl could cause this much drama with all this vomiting ha!"
Clarkson has been predicting her baby's gender even before her announcement. In November, she told Parade, "I'm totally gonna have a girl. I'm manifesting it! And when I have a girl, you're gonna be like, 'That chick knew it!'"
She was also looking forward to the paparazzi to stop being snarky about her weight. She said, "Everybody calls me fat all the time, so I can't wait to have a reason, instead of everybody just being a jerk!"
As for losing the baby weight after, she told the magazine, "I've never been Gisele Bündchen, so ain't nobody expectin' that! I like to set a [low] standard so people don't expect a lot."
Her pregnancy was not all fun and games, however, as Clarkson has been experiencing severe morning sickness. She revealed on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, "I vomit a dozen times a day. It's like bad. I vomited before coming out here. It's so bad. It's, like, so gross. You're not attractive when you're pregnant. Everybody tells you [that] you glow and your hair is pretty and your nails are pretty. That's total crap."
According to ET Online, this will be the first child for the singer, and the third for her husband. Blackstock has two kids from a previous marriage, 11-year-old Savannah and 7-year-old Seth.
