John Green fans all over the world have been waiting for 'The Fault In Our Stars' movie adaptation since it was announced, and they have been clamoring for updates on Hazel and Gus and their heartbreaking love. After all, a story about two cancer patients who fall in love after they meet in a support group makes for a lot of pain and anguish.
As the release date gets closer, more and more stills from the movie are making their way online, and a recent photo from Ansel Elgort (who plays Gus) shows himself and Shailene Woodley (who plays Hazel) having fun. [See photo below]
The Amsterdam scenes for the movie were filmed at the end of production back in October, according to PagetoPremiere.com. Majority of the scenes, however, were filmed in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Author John Green, whose book is the basis for the film, is present for most of the filming. He also recently saw an early version of the film,and thinks it's a good one. He even talked about it in his YouTube channel. Although he did not say outright that he in fact saw TFiOS, he hinted on the film's release date.
In the recent vlog, Green said, "I really, really loved it. So that's exciting, and a huge relief! It comes out on June 6th. It's funny, but then at other times, it's very, very sad."
Very few stills from the set made its way online, but there are rumors, according to The Examiner, that the much-awaited trailer will be released on Valentine's Day.
Before the release of TFiOS, Shailene and Ansel will be seen in another book-to-movie adaptation, Veronica Roth's 'Divergent,' which will be released in theaters on March 12. In 'Divergent,' Shailene plays lead character Tris, while Ansel ironically takes the role of her brother, Caleb.
