Following reports of a egg pelting against 19-year-old Justin Bieber, a raid was conducted by detectives looking for surveillance footage that may serve as evidence of his involvement. The egg-tossing vandalism apparently caused his neighbors thousands of dollars in damages.

About a dozen investigators searched the singer's home for evidence of egg-tossing, searching for anything relevant, including eggs and video. According to TMZ, the deputies dismantled and took away the singer's security system, as they believed that the star's surveillance tapes may have captured the egging.

E! News reports that a police report says that, "the purpose of the search warrant is to seek video surveillance or other possible evidence in the vandalism that occurred on January 9, 2014. The vandalism damage is estimated by the homeowner to be approximately $20,000."

Upon checking his house, police arrested a member of his entourage for cocaine possession. It was later revealed that the member was Bieber's pal, Lil Za.

According to the police booking sheet, Lil Za (real name Xavier Smith) was arrested at 10:30 am for drug possession, and held on a $20,000 bail.

An L.A. County Sheriff rep confirmed to TMZ that the arrest was for Felony drug possession, and that the cocaine was "in plain view" while the raid was ongoing, but that Bieber was "not connected" to the coke.

A source for E! News confirmed that Bieber was at home when the raid occurred, but even though he is not connected to the drugs, criminal defense attorney James E. Silverstein confirmed to HollywoodLife that anything illegal found in his home could put the pop star in legal danger.

"As long as the search warrant is valid, and the deputies are lawfully on his property, any illegal items or contraband they find during the search can be seized from the premises. Any such item(s) can then subject Bieber to criminal prosecution, even if unrelated to the initial reasons for search," said Silverstein.
