24 in 2014 - the numbers look good, but will this year be good for birthday boy Liam Hemsworth?
Last year was a roller coaster ride for the Australian actor in the romance department.
His engagement to former love Miley Cyrus got terminated in 2013. He also had a "public fling" with hot Mexican star Eiza Gonzales, who he dismissed after reportedly learning that the actress was tipping off papparazi about their whereabouts. Perhaps he was hoping that something good would come out of it but the realization that she may just have been using him must have bummed the handsome actor.
Earlier, Fashion & Style reported that the "Wrecking Ball" singer tweeted about her past relationship with Liam during New Year's.
"What about that night we laid by the fire and listened to The Cardigans all night long...good times," her post said. "So many good memories made this year."
Apparently, the girl is still in the throes of getting over her failed romance. She has reportedly been telling friends she's getting over him but with her nostalgic tweets, she's not being as forthcoming as she wants to be.
The 'Hunger Games' star, on the other hand, appears to be handling his own love detoxing process better. We have not heard him nostalgic about his time with Miley since they broke up. He's pretty much remained single after that Eiza fling a couple of months ago. He said that co-star Jennifer Lawrence helped him get over things.
"Being around someone like Jen, who is so honest and laughs all day long, I am forced to be in the right now. I'm much happier," Liam told the Associated Press in an interview.
Fortunately for the hunky actor, his career has not gone through the same trajectory as his love life. He has released four movies in 2013 and is currently shooting two 'Hunger Games' sequels. Way to go Liam! May this year be a happy and successful one for you!
