Is Bruce Banner, a.k.a. The Incredible Hulk, getting a love interest in the upcoming "Avengers: Age of Ultron?" Reports indicate that this may very well be the case.

According to Latino Reviews' El Mayimbe, Banner is "actively dating." According to Comicbook.com, the love interest will likely be Betty Ross, the daughter of General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross, currently known as the Red Hulk. The character appeared in the 2003 and 2008 films based around The Hulk and would be the logical choice.

Whedon seems intent on filling up his "Avengers" sequel with as much character development as possible. The director has already stated that he will give Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye more time to develop in this film than he did in the previous installment. Furthermore, he is adding Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch to the cast of characters and already has Ultron as the film's next major villain.

Hulk was one of the favorite characters in the first "Avengers" movie and it is possible that the choice to give him a love interest is not only to give fans more reasons to care about him, but could also be a means of easing in another solo film for the superhero.

Whedon has been vocal about wanting to give the green monster another crack at a solo movie, but has noted the difficulty in producing yet another film about the Hulk.

"But it would be very, very hard. Hulk is a tricky son of a [expletive]," he said, according to Screen Rant. "He's the Claudio of superheroes. Because the problem is it's a very popular character, but it's not a superhero. Half of it's a superhero, half of it's a werewolf. And you can't structure it like a superhero movie, you can't light it like a superhero movie.

"How do you develop that? It would be extremely difficult. The one thing you would have in your favor would be Mark Ruffalo," he added. "But right now I don't know if they have plans to do that or not, because he works so well as part of a greater whole, but by himself, it's tough. I don't envy the guys who went before."

Do you like the idea of giving the Hulk a love interest?
