You must still recall that candid snap of Liam Payne and his girlfriend Sophia Smith during the holidays, where she was pictured with a serious, unhappy-looking expression while seated next to her One Direction beau at Gary Barlow's New Year's Eve concert. Was she just feeling overwhelmed by fan reactions to her partner or was it something more?
New developments in Liam and Sophia's romance appear to be remotely rosy, if recent reports are to be believed.
The British singer recently helped fellow bandmate Zayn Malik celebrate his birthday on January 12, with at least 2 of his own friends who apparently wasn't invited to the event. It appears it was no big deal for the gracious Zayn - after all, his party was just held at his own London home, said Entertainmentwise.
"LOL as if we've just jumped Zane's fence to his house o.0 crazy night ahead! @tomqueens @Michaelcoates27 @Real_Liam_Payne," tweeted one of Liam's pals. Another close friend, Tom Queens, also expressed his excitement about the upcoming party on his Twitter account, Entertainmentwise noted. He also posted this tweet not long after visiting Zayn: "Back to the bro liams for a cheeky fifa tournie... then out."
It appears Liam and company went out early. It wasn't clear whether Sophia went with them to the party. However, Twitter user @1DAlwaysUpdated hinted that she was there with her 20-year-old boyfriend, Unreality TV revealed.
"When @blitzstyles met Liam tonight and said that he was super drunk and ignoring Sophia -L," said the Twitter snoop.
Kpopstarz noted that the blonde One Direction singer was spotted at the Funky Buddha club later that evening. While his friends were seen with him, Sophia was not.
Hmmm, seems like something's happening here.
One Directioners have previously described Liam as "the most mature member" of the famous band, according to the Daily Mail. With this recent development, it appears that this reputation is at risk of turning into something else.
