Is Sir Alex Ferguson's continued involvement with Manchester United a bad omen for David Moyes?
The current coach of the Red Devils claims that Moyes is a great support for him as he establishes himself as the new boss of one of the most popular teams in the world.
"Sir Alex has been fantastic. He has been incredibly supportive and is only there to help me," said Moyes, according to ESPN. "I have a conversation with him when I need it and I tend to see him for a minute or two after the games.
"All the people around the club have been great as have all the former players, in the main," he added. "But there are a lot of people out there who are trying to twist the words or make out it is a problem. I have no problem with it at all."
To call Moyes a failure in his first season with United is a slight understatement. His team is unlikely to repeat its championship title from last season. The club has already been eliminated from the FA Cup and lost the first leg of the Capital One Cup semifinal against Sunderland.
Moyes' head has already been called for by a number of fans. The fact that Ferguson, the club's most important manager ever, is involved with the team has not quelled rumors about a potential return. Neither have the continued rumors about Ferguson being interested in ending his retirement and managing another club.
Should United fire Moyes and attempt to bring back Ferguson if he wants to make a return?
