Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift and One Direction Among the Most Charitable Artists of 2013

Singer Taylor Swift was acknowledged for the second time as the most charitable artist in the US by the "Do Something" organization.

The organization published the "Top 20 Celebs Gone Good of 2013" list, with the 20 artists that carried out the most charitable activities during the year.

Taylor Swift is in first place thanks to her $100,000 donation to the Nashville orchestra on her birthday. The country-pop singer had previously been featured on the Do Something list.

The second position is occupied by One Direction who donated part of their profits to help people living in poverty in Africa; they also helped raise funds for research in the fight against cancer.

Singer Beyoncé is in third place thanks to her charity work such as her London concert to promote women's rights.

Recently, Beyoncé helped a girl with a terminal disease achieve her dream of meeting her in person thanks to the "Make a Wish" foundation. Beyoncé and 12-year-old Taylon Davis sang and danced together some of the singer's hits during her "Mrs. Carter" tour.

Actor Paul Walker, who died in a car accident last November, occupies the fourth position in Do Something's list because he dedicated a great part of his life to helping victims of natural disasters.

The star of the "Fast and Furious" franchise founded "Reach Out Worldwide" and the day he lost his life along with his financial advisor Roger Rodas, the actor hosted an event to raise funds and continue to bring medical help to victims.

Hip-hop duet Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are on fifth place followed by actress Sandra Bullock, Kerry Washington, Ian Somerhalder and Ryan Seacrest.

Singer Carrie Underwood donated a million dollars to the Red Cross in 2013 to support the victims of tornadoes in Oklahoma. "The Hunger Games" star Jennifer Lawrence is in 11th place, followed by Alicia Keys who seeks to end poverty and actors Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, stars of "Breaking Bad".

The list is completed by singer Miley Cyrus who supported an independent film in 2013, Demi Lovato and Justin Bieber, who helped over 200 children from the Make a Wish foundation fulfill their dreams.
