The National Film Critics are known as one of the most important critics groups. However, they are also known for swaying away from the consensus and hardly ever predict an Oscar winner. Recent winners include "Melancholia," "Amour," "The Social Network," "The Hurt Locker," "Waltz with Bashir," and "There Will Be Blood."
The National Film Critics were founded in 1966 and have members from all over the U.S.
