The bandmates that date together, have twice the fun! And stay in love longer?
One Direction's Liam Payne and his current sweetheart Sophia Smith were spotted enjoying romantic music together at Gary Barlow's Big Ben Bash concert on New Year's Eve, reported Entertainmentwise.
However, he was not the only One Direction member picked up by cameras filming the event - Niall Horan and his alleged new ladylove Barbara Palvin was also seen dancing, singing, and just having a great time at the concert. The Victoria's Secret model also had her sister Anita in tow.
Eagle-eyed 1D fans were very quick to spot the pop stars and post the recent sightings on Twitter. Some even posted screen grabs of the video footage of the concert showing the couples in close up. One Twitter user, Carolyn (@conversecashton), picked a particularly intriguing scene and posted it on her account with an all caps caption that said, "WOW SOPHIA LOOKS SO HAPPY TO BE DATING LIAM PAYNE."
The said sarcastic caption poked fun at the expression on Liam's 25-year-old girlfriend's face. She was looking rather too serious and somewhat uncomfortable in the snap, while her boyband beau was waving a hand and allowing a little smile through his pursed lips.
According to Perez Hilton, the couple spent Christmas with Sophia's family. This could be a sign that things are "getting serious." It could also just mean nothing more than a simple get-together with people whom Liam has known since childhood - the lovers were friends since they were kids.
Back in November last year, the 20-year-old singer battled rumors that his ladylove was pregnant, noted Hollywood Life. The possibility that Sophia was expecting reportedly had 1D fans upset. However, the furor died down almost as quickly when it appeared that there was no basis to the rumor.
