Miguel "El Piojo" Herrera, the manager of the Mexican Selection, donned a Santa Claus costume to send a message to fans.

During the Holidays, many celebrities take the opportunity to send their fans greetings and good wishes through social networks.

The manager for the América Football Club used YouTube to wish all Mexicans a merry Christmas and promised them that the Mexican Selection would provide good results during the upcoming 2014 FIFA World in Brazil.

From his house in Mexico City, "Piojo" Herrera enjoyed Christmas in the company of his family, while wearing a red suit with a long white beard to greet fans.

In his brief message, the manager of the Mexican Selection asked all Mexican children to be well-behaved with their parents.

"Ho ho ho! May all Mexicans have a merry Christmas! You will have an extraordinary World Cup. And to all children, behave! Ho ho ho!" "Piojo" said in his video.

The message ends with a funny mustache twirl "Piojo" does while looking at the camera.

A picture of the costume used by the former footballer was uploaded to Twitter by Tamara Herrera, one of his daughters, on her Twitter account @tamaraherrera62. The picture shows that "Piojo" stuffed the suit to look as fat as Santa and used black boots and a black belt with a big buckle.

Reactions from fans were positive, and some even started calling him "Piojo Claus", and asked him for the gift of the national team performing well at the World Cup.

I saw Piojo Herrera dressed as Santa and I just want to ask him for the fifth match at the World Cup...

Besides the Mexican manager, other soccer stars have sent fans greetings. The captain and goal-keeper for Spain's Real Madrid, Iker Casillas, and his teammate Sergio Ramos wished a merry Christmas to their fans, in the company of Florentino Pérez, the club's director.

This is a tradition Real Madrid carries out every December, where besides gathering the footballers, the best basketball players of Real Madrid are also invited.
