Carlos Santana Reunited With Former 'Santana Blues Band' Colleague, Now Homeless [Video]

Famous Mexican guitarist Carlos Santana had an emotive reunion with one of the former members of his band, who is currently homeless.

A few days after Carlos Santana received a medal from the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts from the hands of President Barack Obama thanks to his cultural influence, he continues to get good news.

A reporter for KRON in San Francisco managed to reunite Marcus Malone with Carlos Santana after doing a report on the situation of clandestine dumps in the area.

During his investigation, journalist Stanley Roberts met the homeless man who began to tell him some stories about the beginnings of the "Santana Blues Band", giving him so many details that the reporter began to investigate Malone further.

The stories the homeless man told KRON turned out to be true, and Stanley Roberts invited Santana to accompany him to visit his former music colleague.

Roberts told Malone that he had looked up his stories, and verified that everything he had said was true. He then told Malone he had a surprise for him, and after convincing him to walk towards a nearby truck, the homeless man was surprised to see that Santana was inside.

The Mexican guitarist immediately hugged his former colleague, who he kept calling Marcus "The Magnificent" Malon. Both men began to talk about they had done since they last saw each other years ago.

Santana explained that he had lost track of Malon when he was arrested and jailed at Saint Quentin and that other members of the "Santana Blues Band" were also interested in reuniting with Malon.

Currently the artist is promoting his first album in Spanish, titled "Corazón" which he composed alongside with Latino singers of pop, salsa and rock genres.
