Disney star Dylan Sprouse of The Suite Life of Zach and Cody series had nude photos of himself leaked to the internet. The 21-year-old dealt with the issue maturely, admitting that the photos were of him.
But on Saturday, more graphic photos leaked, two of which, according to Perez Hilton, are not safe for work. One showed full frontal nudity of the star cupping his genitals, while the other focused on his drenched chest and torso.
While Dylan has not responded to the second set, he did have his say on the first leak. Sprouse said that he was proud of the photos, but did not expect to see them on the internet. He also said that the leak was caused by "misplaced trust" to the person whom he sent the photos to. As he said in his personal Tumblr, the photos are not intended for the public and he hoped that his work and academic integrity would not be called into question because of the incident.
An insider told Hollywood Life that the pictures were released by an ex who was trying to get back at Dylan for a bad breakup.
Sprouse addressed the issue with humor, adding "n00d pic dealer" to his profile on Twitter, and tweeting, "Whoops, guess I'm not 14 and fat anymore."
He also added, "I messed up... but I'd be a fool not to own up to it. Got to move past it I suppose."
Although fans were shocked with the leaks, a Liberty Voice article seemed to think that the issue has had some positive effect, as Dylan's fans seemed to be loving the photos and he gained more followers on Twitter.
The NYU student, who called out the unhealthiness of the American attitude toward nudity, also said that he wants to continue being a role model despite the incident, and that his way of handling the situation would hopefully reflect a more positive note on him.
