Singer Jennifer López and her ex-husband, Marc Anthony, are accused of stealing the idea for their TV show "Q'Viva: The Chosen", according to E! News.
After their divorce, the singing couple has taken every chance they can to tell the press that they have a nice, friendly relationship. Last October, Marc Anthony said he still cares about his ex-wife and considers her to be a great friend a good mother.
"Q'Viva: The Chosen" was a reality show where both singers toured Latin America in search for new talent to include them in their shows. In each episode, they showed that they still have a good relationship, after their divorce.
TMZ leaked documents where producer John Jacobs sued the couple for stealing the idea for the new show.
The documents show the producer presented his proposal under the name "The Game" to López' and Anthony's producing companies, Nuyorican and Marc Anthony's Productions.
The idea behind "The Game" was to show two artists searching for new talents by touring Latin American countries, the same idea Jacobs says the singers used in their 2012 show.
Producer John Jacobs told TMZ that he has enough evidence to show that he created "The Game" long before the singers launched their TV show.
Before filing a lawsuit, Jacobs tried to negotiate with the former couple to name him producer of the show, but when they refused, he filed a lawsuit in New York courts, accused Marc Anthony and JLo of plagiarism.
This lawsuit joins the long list of pending court dates since in early December she filed a lawsuit to recover her old name, since when she married Marc Anthony, she was given the name of Jennifer Muñiz.
