Did Justin Bieber just confirm that he was just seeking attention when he recently revealed that he will be retiring?
Earlier, TMZ reported that the Biebs was caught on video coming out of his van "followed by a Hiroshima-level cloud of smoke." He was on his way to an interview at L.A. radio station Power 106, which is the same station where he revealed yesterday that he's "retiring."
"After the new album, I'm actually retiring man. I'm retiring. I'm just gonna take some time. I think I'm probably gonna quit music," he told radio host Kurt "Big Boy" Alexander, noted Entertainmentwise.
He then continued, saying he's just going to "go golf," before finally doing an about face on the sport and declaring he's just "messing around."
Certified true attention seeker - with cherry on top. Perhaps that massive "cloud of smoke" he was enveloped in is to blame? It's not unusual for stoned individuals to make erratic remarks or decisions like what Biebs just did. Could he be smoking joint again?
Anyway, the Internet promptly exploded with news of the pop sensation's pronouncements, with his avid fans groaning in disbelief that he's retiring (and perhaps some non-Beliebers rejoicing over the career change).
However, the Daily Mail got wind of some juicy inside information, which did fans the favor of quelling their disturbed hearts and minds, from someone close to the singing heartthrob.
"Justin's going through a phase - no-one's worried. He's not retiring - he's being a little punk!"
"Listen, he just raised $1.2million in the Philippines this week, his movie's premiering tonight, he has a new album - he's not going anywhere, everything's fine," the source told the British entertainment news outlet.
The "Baby" hit singer also told Big Boy that he's not arrogant, although people think he is. "I've always been a caring and giving person," he said. "I'm 19 I'm gonna make mistakes it's inevitable."
Now, that last line sounds very familiar - it also came from the mouth of another artist close to his age. Can you make a good guess? Can't miss her, given her equally headline-making antics.
Justin's new album, "Complete My Journals", will be out December 23, according to Entertainmentwise.
