Are Austin Mahone and Miley Cyrus dating?
Despite the very sweet pictures of the two singers cuddling together backstage of the Los Angeles Jingle Ball, the photo is not, in any way, romantic.
The picture in question was a candid snap of Miley and Austin, with Miley dressed in a simple printed sweatshirt and lovingly hugging Austin - her head on his shoulder.
Miley ranted on Twitter when she found out about the rumors, making it quite clear that there are no romantic entanglements between her and Austin. She tweeted, "DON'T hug your friends goodbye unless you wanna be rumored 'dating.'"
She also added, "I wanna think more of the world but people just keep proving their stupidity."
Apparently, the racy, "Wrecking Ball" singer was just teasing her sister when the photo was captured and posted. Miley tweeted to her older sister, Brandi, a collage of the snaps from the paparazzi, captioned with, "Jealous???? Ps why does it look like crying?! Like I'm the world biggest Austin Mahone fan?!?!" to which, Brandi replied "@MileyCyrus aaaahahaha!!! He's such a cutie! This is amazing. @noahcyrus will freak!"
According to International Business Times, Miley and Brandi were teasing their youngest sister, Noah Cyrus, who, as it turns out, was a big fan of the "Banga Banga" singer.
Seventeen-year-old Austin has been making rounds on the Jingle Ball concerts across the U.S., performing at New York's Madison Square Gardenm, and Philadelphia's Wells Fargo Center.
Miley is also in the same circuit, but unfortunately for the former Disney star, she missed the event in Boston due to bad weather. "Cheers to BOSTON ❤️❤️❤️ imma make it back to you April 2nd I PROMISE!!!!!" she told her fans. She then added, "Mechanical issues + bad weather = ?￢ﾜﾈ️ stuck in NYC and can't get to Boston for #KISS108JingleBall."
