There are not many places worse than airports to spend Christmas in. With the year ending, the chaos and logistical problems in airlines may lead people to spend unpleasant times as they try to reach home and their families.
With this in mind, a Canadian airline decided to surprise their clients with a selfless gesture that left many speechless.
According to CNN, WestJet decided to share the Christmas spirit with its passengers at the airports of Toronto and Hamilton by creating a virtual Santa that asked people boarding a plane to Calgary what they wanted for Christmas.
The people boarding the plane told the virtual Santa the first thing that came to their mind, thinking it was just a game or good wishing.
Minutes after the passengers boarded the plane, a team of 150 WestJet employees in the city of Calgary received a list of the client's wishes, ranging from socks to a 50" LED TV, and immediately ran to buy the Christmas gifts.
When the passengers arrived at Calgary and went towards the luggage claiming area, they were surprised with their gifts, in one of the most touching moments of the year, since it reminds us that there is nothing more valuable than surprising someone with a selfless action.
Christmas is one of the most special dates since it allows to be thankful for all the good things in the year, and more importantly, it reminds us that those important moments can be shared with family.
It's also a time where we can give back. Throughout most cities, there are collection and donation centers where you can donate clothes and items you don't need any more to those more unfortunate, and help them have a merry Christmas.
