Diginext has announced the release of Kate Del Castillo's latest film "A Miracle in Spanish Harlem."
The distribution company announced that the new film will open for an exclusive one week engagement in Manhattan at the City Cinemas Dec. 6. DigiNext is a joint distribution venture between Digiplex Destinations and Nehst Media Enterprises. Screenvision will also distribute and join as a promotional partner in the film's release.
The new movie will also open in six Caribbean Cinema locations in the cities of Bayamon, Carolina and San Juan in Puerto Rico. DigiNext will also add two Texas locations and will open the film in a total of 114 theaters.
Del Castillo is best known for her work on Spanish telenovelas such as "La Mentira" and "El Derecho de Nacer." She has recently appeared in a number of films including "Under the Same Moon," "Julia," "Trade" and "American Vista." She was recently seen in the critically panned "K-11" and will next be seen in "El Americano: The Movie," "El Crimen del Cacaro Gumaro" and "No Good Deed" with Idris Elba and Taraji Henson.
"A Miracle in Spanish Harlem" was directed and produced by Derek Velez Partridge. The film tells the story of a Latin family and begins with a hoax that ends with a surprising true miracle.
The new movie also stars Luis Antonio Ramos, Adrian Martinez, Andre Royo, Pricilla Lopez and Tony Plana. The new movie is rated PG for thematic elements, brief mild language and some disturbing images.
