Beyoncé may be known around the world for her exceptional talent in singing and dancing, but that does not mean she gets special treatment for her celebrity status all the time.
The diva was allegedly banned from seeing the Pyramids of Egypt for her "rude" behavior. Dr. Zahi Hawass, Egypt's former head of antiquities as well as gatekeeper of the Pyramids, took offense when Beyoncé arrived late for her appointment and refused to apologize for it.
Said Hawass to The Independent newspaper, "Most people I take on tours are very nice and we become friends. But this lady...She said she would come at 3pm but she came late. I said 'You have to say I'm sorry I'm late'. But she didn't open her mouth."
He also added, "I brought a photographer and she also had a photographer and a guard. When my photographer started to shoot, he said 'No, Stop! I am the one who says yes or no, not you.' I said 'In that case since you almost hit my photographer and you are not polite - out! I am not giving you the privilege of having you on my tour.' I said Beyoncé was stupid and I left."
Beyoncé's rep told E!News that this incident did not happen, adding that "The last time she was in Egypt was on tour in 2009. Nothing like this happened. Lies and more lies."
However, around the time of her visit in Egypt in 2009, there were reports about a bad encounter between the "Single Ladies" singer and controversial Egyptologist.
Hassan is subject to more or less 20 accusations which included sleeping with prostitutes, corruption, and smuggling of antiquities.
Beyoncé, on the other hand, is currently working with Ne-Yo and Pharell Williams on material for her new album, which is almost finished, but there is no word yet on when it will be released.
