Borussia Dortmund and Napoli will face off in a fateful Champions League match Tuesday.
Napoli currently sits in second place in the Group with nine points through four games. Dortmund sits in third with six points. The result of this match has massive implications for the group overall. A win by Napoli coupled with a win by Arsenal in its game against Marseille would eliminate Dortmund. A win by Dortmund would pull the German side level with Napoli with one match left to play. If this latter scenario occurs then Napoli would need to defeat Arsenal in its final game and hope that Dortmund does not defeat Marseille. A draw in this game would also force Napoli to pull off at least a draw against Arsenal at home to eliminate Dortmund; the German side would need to win its final game and hope for an Arsenal win in order to pull level with Napoli and have any hopes of qualification.
"There is a lot of pressure on this game," Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp said, according to ESPN. "If it works out like we hope it works out, we certainly have the most exciting group. It would just be cool for everyone, and mean Arsenal cannot field their C-team players at Napoli.
"We need to win the next two matches in our group, and have to start with that tomorrow."
These two sides met on Sept. 18 in a 2-1 Napoli victory that featured a red card for Klopp and Dortmund goalie Roman Wiedenfeller.
Prediction: The two sides battle to a 1-1 draw.
Start Time: 2:45 p.m. EST
