The premiere of "Chucky's Curse" in Brazil took some public transport users by surprise when they became the victims of a spooky and ingenious prank by the film's promoters.
The promotional campaign of the new movie filmed people waiting for public transportation when strange events begin to happen at a bus stop.
First, the bus stop light begins to fail, then, a sinister laugh rings out and finally, when the victims are nervous, the "diabolical doll" jumps out from the promotional poster with a knife in its hands and begins to chase after people. The video of the promotional stunt quickly went viral on social networks.
One of the most popular horror franchises of the last two decades, the "Child's Play" films tell the story of a doll possessed by the soul of a serial killer.
The sixth and most recent movie, "Chucky's Curse," premiered Oct. 8 on Blu-Ray, digitally and DVD in the United States.
The new film's promotion has been praised for its originality, which has served to remind people around the world why the character is still one of the biggest landmarks in horror.
