Two high-scoring teams will meet when Argentina and Bosnia and Herzegovina face off in an international friendly on Monday.
Argentina scored 35 goals in 16 CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers and featured a plethora of top goal scorers. Lionel Messi scored 10 in the campaign, while Gonzalo Higuain tallied nine. Sergio Aguero had five, while the trio of Angel di Maria, Maxi Rodriguez and Ezequiel Lavezzi had three each. Only two other players, Ever Banega and Rodrigo Palacio, scored for Argentina in their campaign.
Despite the team's high-flying offense, Argentina was held to a 0-0 draw against Ecuador on Friday in a friendly match that lacked Messi. The Barcelona superstar is currently sidelined with an injury and could be out until February.
Bosnia and Herzegovina was the winner of Group G in the World Cup qualifiers and managed to score an astounding 30 goals in 10 matches. Edin Dzeko scored 10 goals for the team while Vedad Ibisevic scored eight and Zvjezdan Misimovic had five. Miralem Pjanic had three tallies and four other Bosnians scored a goal each.
"The result in this match is very important for us because we have never beaten such a major team," Bosnian coach Safet Susic said, according to The Star. "Once we win the big teams, we will be able to consider ourselves as big as well."
Prediction: Argentina still possesses a number of threats and Bosnia has choked against teams like the United States in recent friendlies. Look for Argentina to win 2-0.
Start Time: Kick off begins at 8 p.m. EST
