On the latest installment of fairytale drama "Once Upon a Time," Ariel traveled to Storybrooke, and Emma and the Neverland gang battled a dangerous shadow.
In a flashback, Belle (Emilie de Ravin) is seen enacting the cloaking spell, but not before two mysterious men squeeze past the "dome."
Days later, Happy is seen saying how quiet life is in Storybrooke without the Charmings causing a ruckus in the town. Then Ariel (JoAnna Garcia Swisher) shows up seaside to present Belle with an enchanted sand dollar that will lead her to the thing that Rumple (Robert Carlyle) needs to defeat Peter Pan (Robbie Kay). But just as the girls find Pandora's Box, the two mysterious men arrive, pointing guns at their heads. They then tie up the two princesses.
Ariel transforms back into a mermaid and uses her fins to get them free. The two track down the guys in the mineshaft, where the men intend to use a dwarf's pickaxe to destroy the box. They want to destroy the box because their sister Wendy is being held by Pan. Pan has also kept them alive for a century to do his bidding. Ariel promises them that she'll bring the box back to Neverland, and she'll deliver the message to save Wendy.
Back in Neverland, Neal (Michael Raymond-James) says they have to capture Pan's shadow after finding Henry in order to get out of Neverland, meaning they have to travel to Dark Hollow. Neal also gets annoyed that Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) shared a kiss with Emma (Jennifer Morrison).
In the Hollow, the gang gets attacked by a shadow and its two friends. Emma then uses Regina's (Lana Parrilla) teachings to ignite the candle through magic, which allows them to trap Pan's shadow.
Elsewhere on the island, Pan tricks Henry into "finding" Wendy, who pretends to be deathly ill because the island's magic is dying. Pan says to Henry that only he, the truest believer, can save her and the island. Henry's next task is to go to Skull Rock.
On the next episode, "Think Lovely Thoughts": "Pan leads Henry to a secret cave, where he has convinced the boy that he alone can save magic and Neverland itself. But a showdown between good and evil is about to go down as Emma, Mary Margaret, David, Regina, Mr. Gold and Hook find themselves directly on a path to Pan in an effort to save Henry. Meanwhile, back in the Fairy Tale Land that was, young Rumplestiltskin is given a magical item that could help him make a fresh start with his father -- who has been anything but a good dad, on "Once Upon a Time."
Lana Parrilla also revealed to TVGuide that Regina may finally meet her love, Robin Hood (Sean Maguire), toward the end of the season. However, it may not be easy for Regina to open her heart.
"She's closed her heart off to any romance," Parrilla said. "She doesn't look at anyone with lust or desire. But I do hope that Regina opens her heart again to love. It's been many, many years. As much as she loves Henry, he can only fill that void for so long before he moves on and has a life of his own separate from her."
