Chris Pratt is in early talks to star in Universal's "Jurassic World."
Variety is reporting that the "Zero Dark Thirty" actor may replace Josh Brolin in the upcoming film. "Discussions are very preliminary, as scheduling and salary discussions, which were the original deal breakers for Brolin, have not been discussed yet," wrote Variety.
Universal has been active in casting this film with Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins and Nick Robinson already in talks to star.
The film will be directed by the "Safety Not Guaranteed" filmmaker Colin Trevorrow, with Derek Connolly writing the movie. At the moment, Universal has kept plot details hidden, but it is known that Robinson will play Simpkins' older brother in the picture.
Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley will produce "Jurassic World," which is set to begin filming in early 2014.
Pratt can next be seen in the new film "Delivery Man" starring Vince Vaughan. The actor has also been seen in "Moneyball," "Wanted," "Her" and "Movie 43." Pratt will also soon appear in "Guardians of Galaxy" and "The Lego Movie."
"Jurassic World" was delayed a number of times and was originally set to be released in 2013. However, after many setbacks the film was put aside. The film will be the fourth installment to the "Jurassic Park" franchise, one of the most successful franchises of the 90s and early 2000s.
"Jurassic World" is one of the many franchise films slated for 2015. Some other films include "Avengers: Age of Ultron," "Batman vs. Superman," "Star Wars: Episode VII," "Ant-Man," "Assassin's Creed" and "Terminator 5."
"Jurassic World" will hit theaters June 12, 2015.
