Gabriela Isler won the Miss Universe beauty pageant becoming the seventh Venezuelan model to take home the crown.
The 25-year-old was born in Valencia but moved to study in Maracay. She is an accomplished flamenco dancer who began taking lessons when she was a child. Isler finished her thesis in 2010 and holds a BA in management and marketing. She later landed a job for Venevision TV Network where she appears regularly.
Her road to Miss Universe began in 2012 when she competed as Miss Guarico in the Miss Venezuela 2012 pageant. She competed against 24 participants and won the Miss Elegance award as well as the competition. She also became the ninth Miss Venezuela winner from Guarico. The win qualified her for the Miss Universe pageant.
Aside from her professional life, Isler notes that when her sister had a baby, she helped her sister out. Isler said that she considers herself a second mother to her niece and considers motherhood the hardest profession in life. Isler also values being with family and notes that it is the most important part of life.
She also stated that her mother was her role model because of her strength and commitment to the family.
Isler will now embark on a road that will lead her to various countries. Her many prizes include acting classes at the New York Film Academy and a year's supply of makeup, wardrobe and shoes.
